Hot tapping is a method that allows special drilling machines to make cuts in operating pipelines, pressure vessels or other equipment. This method is widely used in oil and gas extraction, refining, transportation and storage processes, requiring the installation of new pipeline sections or the installation of drainage systems in combination with existing facilities.

The main advantages of cutting into existing equipment:

  1. The production process is unstoppable.
  2. Technological parameters are not reduced.
  3. The safety of the technological process is ensured.
  4. No need to drain working media.
  5. The possibility of environmental pollution is eliminated.
  6. Braking, downtime and start-up costs are eliminated.

The work uses special drilling (milling) equipment, which allows to make cuts from 50 to 350 mm in diameter (by separate agreement and larger diameter), when the main parameters of the medium:

  1. Pressure up to 100 bar, temperature up to 38⁰C.
  2. Pressure up to 48 bar, temperature up to 370⁰C.

Our qualified specialists come to the place of work, consult and help to make the best decision on the work, and make cuts to the equipment in operation.
